Conservatory information
A Telford family home fitted with an Edwardian PVCu conservatory with a connecting lean-to from the main house. The original conservatory roof is the widely-used blue tinted glass to help prevent solar glare, but still ineffective in very hot weather and in retaining the heat in the conservatory.
The remaining conservatory consists of opening out French Doors and PVCu casement windows with fanlights over fixed panes.
Work carried out.
Superior Conservatory Panels Ltd, provided a new white Thermotec roof powder coated white RAL 9910 gloss. The panels were measured to fit exactly within the original roof bars at the sizes required to provide a new, sealed and perfectly fitted roof. The new roof panels have a 24mm glazing edge, stepping up to a thick, insulated panel comprising 2mm aluminium skin on the inside and outside faces.
The roof panels glaze within the original roof bars utilising the original end cappings, roof bar cappings and black glazing gaskets.
The original polycarbonate roof panels were removed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
